Another year of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff passing.
Please picture this missive accompanied by warm wishes for the holidays and a gigantic box of chocolates (anything but those awful liqueur ones that cling to the hope they look like little bottles but, in fact, resemble… something else).
Although, it doesn’t feel like holidays yet. Thanks to the various lockdowns (and a deep aversion to going shopping), I haven’t stepped foot inside an actual shop since August. Which, as it turns out, is a stroke of genius. I seem to have missed all the tinsel and fake frosting on windows (because nothing says kiwi Christmas like snow in December). I’ve also managed to skip happily past having Snoopy’s Christmas and Michael “good grief, not another Christmas album” Bublé shoved in my ears on loop. Yippee!!!
‘Tis the season, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you so, so much for being part of my artist journey this year. And an extra big thank you to my patrons who have been supporting me (and putting up with my fern, rock, and water painting shenanigans) on Patreon.
If you happen to be heading to Raglan for some sun and surf in the next month, pop into the iHub information centre, 13 Wainui Road, where they have a display of art by 3 Raglan artists—including moi!

I hope that your holiday is filled with good cheer, laughter, hilarious attempts to negotiate the social distancing rules (to hug, or not to hug?!) and far too many chocolates.
I’m closing the studio doors now for my usual summer break. I shall be back next year with some bi-i-i-i-g things!!! I can’t wait to share with you!
Wishing you happy holidays and lashings of trifle for Boxing Day breakfast.
