What sort of stories are you after today?
Wop-wops, warm breezes, and cicada songs
Published on .Filed in Finding magicAh, the promise of summer. Remember when summer meant summer holidays? No school, no work, just magic? If I could bottle it, I would. Instead, I did the next best thing: I painted it.
I wrote a book!
Published on .Filed in Art & creativityI wrote a book! It’s a memoir. It’s contemporary fantasy. And, it’s epistolary (my new word of the month—it means it’s written in the form of a series of letters). It’s about changing direction, letting go of dreams, picking up new ones, and, ultimately, reconnecting with your magic and living your own story.
Literally couldn’t help but dance
Published on .Filed in EventsI’m delighted to invite you to the 12th annual “Figurative” art exhibition at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery! And yes, I literally did a crazy, happy dance when Light Space & Time presented their awards for this exhibition. Happy holidays, and I shall be back next year with some bi-i-i-i-g things!!!

Finding wonder and following the yes
Published on .Filed in Finding magicYeah, it’s pretty easy to find wonder in the South Island. But funnily enough, the moments that sparked that tingly excited feeling and made my intuition poke me in the ribs—they weren’t the things I was expecting! So, since I’m practicing saying “yes” to my intuition, this video is where I’m paying attention and following it through.
A new exhibition with a collision of style and colour
Published on .Filed in EventsJust popping in to let you know about a new exhibition starting soon. Called Collidescope, it’s our annual Raglan Art exhibition, featuring 16 artists and “a collision of style and colour”.
A year of visual poetry
Published on .Filed in Country lifeWelcome to my year-long visual poetry project. Here are four seasons of creativity—just me, my camera, and a LOT of animal noses out and about on the farm.
